- How can you reserve an apartment at University Village?
In order to reserve an apartment we require a $300 security deposit and $35 application fee (per person). Residents can reserve an apartment online through our website, look for the yellow folder icon, click on the folder, and you will be able to apply online with a Visa or MasterCard. Or contact the leasing office at 614-261-1211, and a member of our leasing team would be happy to assist you in making the reservation.
- What do I need to do to be a Co-Signer?
A Co-Signer Application must be completed by filling in all the necessary fields including a social security number to process the application as well as a signed and notarized Co-Signer Agreement unless being signed before University Village. It is required to meet all of the following criteria to qualify as a Co-Signer. A gross annual income of $30,000 with continuous employment for one year prior to applying as well as satisfy our credit screening process.
- When do I need to return all the cosigner paperwork to the UV leasing office?
We require that all paperwork including Co-Signer documents be returned back to the leasing office no later than two weeks after submitting the security deposit. All cosigner documents can be downloaded from our website, under Apply Online and returned back to us via fax at 614.34.0686, email: leasing@universityvillage.com, mailed to 505 Harley Drive Columbus, Ohio 43202, or dropped off in person to our leasing office during business hours.
- How will you handle notifying of us if we are approved or declined as a Co-Signer?
You will be notified by either email or phone of your status. If you have received information on being declined please contact our leasing team at: leasing@universityvillage.com if you need further specifics on your decline status.
- What does UV offer to help prevent crime and address safety concerns?
University Village has our own contract courtesy patrol to help monitor the community. We also partner with the Columbus Police Department offering Community Safety Advisory Meetings, Park Walk and Talk Program and keep all our residents informed of any alerts or announcements they need to be aware of regarding crime. In addition we provide all of our residents on move-in day a list of safety tips and reminders provided by The Ohio State University police department which can be viewed at: studentaffairs.osu.edu. As always should any resident see any suspicious activity to contact 911 and to notify us immediately through our Management Office.
